First Step has been selected to participate in the 2017 Allstate Foundation Purple Purse Challenge. The Allstate Foundation created the Purple Purse Challenge to help domestic violence survivors have the financial freedom to break free and stay free from their abusive relationship. The Challenge is a fundraising campaign launched by The Allstate Foundation where charities benefiting domestic violence survivors compete to raise the most money!

The excitement begins on Monday, October 2nd at 12:00pm EST and runs through Tuesday, October 31st at 1:59pm EST. A total of $325,000 will be given away to organizations participating in the Challenge. The organization that raises the most will receive a $100,000 donation from The Allstate Foundation. Second through fifth place will also receive large cash donations ranging from $15,000-$50,000. First Step is ready to raise as much money as possible so we can win the $100,000 grand prize donation!
