IN OVER 70% OF CITIES IN WAYNE COUNTY, First Step's Community Response Advocates work in police departments, courthouses, and other community buildings helping those impacted by domestic and sexual violence, and stalking.

Advocates support survivors with safety planning, better understanding their legal rights, filing police reports, navigating the criminal justice system, obtaining Personal Protection Orders, and providing referrals to other First Step programs and community resources.
